Mosquito Lagoon Sight Fishing

Skiff · up to 2 anglers · fly or light tackle

This is the trip Rick built the business on. You pole the shallows of Mosquito Lagoon, you see the fish — a back, a tail breaking the surface — and then you cast at it and watch it eat. It's hunting more than it's fishing.

“Stalking fish in the shallows of Mosquito Lagoon on fly or light tackle is one of the most exciting experiences in fishing. This is my passion. My goal is to put you into a position where you can spot, cast at and catch a fish, all while watching the process. You will experience some of the coolest and most unique wildlife/scenery that Florida has to offer.”

Two anglers max on the skiff — that's what keeps it quiet, and quiet is what gets you close. Fly or spin, your call; Rick runs both.

What to expect

Redfish are the fishery here. Black drum and seatrout live in the same water. Tarpon are very seasonal and never promised — ask, and Rick will tell you honestly what's on for your dates.

Rick confirms the exact meeting spot and time when he confirms your date. He launches from more than one ramp.
